Video chat on Android.. Google is The Best

Yayyy
Finally the day has arrived when Gtalk integrates video chat into its Android app. It works with wi-fi as well as cellular networks, hence useful for not only other tablet and smartphone users but also just about perfect for a Samsung Galaxy Tab user like me. This update is said to be released with Android 2.3.4 with support for earlier versions following soon.
Its everything that all of us have been used to in Gtalk
- in conversation texts
- uninterrupted call
- integrates with Gmail :) :)

Can't wait to get this app, been hunting down the Android marketplace for too long now for a decent video chat app for tablet to laptop/PCs.

Movie Watch: Insidious(2010)

This movie delivered what it promised, A Truly Spine-Chilling experience.
With scenes that can terrify the hell out of people even with the average performances by the actors, this movie has Amazing cinematography which has tremendously supported the brilliant plot.
The edge of this Horror flick however has to be credited to the concept of "Astral Projection" which is really a food for thought and imagination. Wonder though if "The Further" is what theists call "Hell"?

Anyway, the idea behind the movie is unconventional and unpredictable.
Definitely a one-time watch.

Movie Watch: Shor In The City(2011)

Thankfully, this movie comes as a welcome break from the typical Hindi commercial movies, it is almost bordering on an Artistic collage in cinema.
For an anthology of real events, the characters and events have a strangely uncommon sense to them that keeps the viewers guessing. But all throughout the storyline, the movie retains the groundedness of true Indian characters and an Indian environment that is soon becoming mainstream.

Storyline: Great interplay of the characters. Unpredictable.
Performance: Good, the casting is perfect without any overpowering performance by any single person.
Humour: Refreshing
Pace of movie: A little slow, the pace picks up only after intermission
Climax: A little whimsical but optimistic, viewers walk away with a feeling of hope in the end, which is good.

Its a sure Watch just for its fresh unconventional portayal of the Indian Life if nothing else.

Movie Watch: Thor(2011)

Given my lack of familiarity with Marvel comics, thankfully I went with friends who were big Marvel fans.
It is fascinating how the stories of the super heroes are interwoven.
Its a definite watch for its Awesome graphics, WoWing action, Fresh unconventional humour, Gripping storyline and Goodlooking actors(Ahem ahem Chris ofcourse)

And Please DO NOT miss the POST CREDITS clip.
So a Definite Watch ...

Movie Sucks: Waiting for Forever(2010)

A total waste of time..
Script: Purposeless, helpful only for stalkers
Pace of movie: Super slow
Acting: The leading actor hoped the audience would excuse his lack of acting skills for his chocolate boy looks. But hell no! You need something more than looks and checked pajamas to lead in a movie.

I regret the time spent on this, request others to not waste theirs.

Movie Watch: From Prada to Nada(2011)

In need of some optimism after a ruined weekend, I turned to movie therapy with this 2011 rom-com.

'From Prada to Nada' turned out to be like a Bollywood movie in Spanish minus the songs given all the dancing, social celebrations, family values focus and taunts & remarks in local language.

Like a typical Romantic Comedy, this movie had the light steady storyline with a dramatic start and a fairytale ending. However what set it apart are the performances of the actors(especially the lawyer boss <3 ), they are good-looking, cute, funny and perfect for their roles. I had never seen any of them in movies earlier but I so hope to see more of these actors in movies.

Its a short and sweet film that makes you feel good in the end.

It cheered me up, so I definitely recommend this movie when one needs to brighten up.
For serious movie viewers, this might seem run-of-the-mill and predictable.

Movie Watch: Dum Maro Dum(2011) mein Damm hai

Liked it.
Good storyline, atleast 2 decent songs, not many dialogues from Bipasha (Thank God) ;-) .

Abhishek finally seemed to have learnt some acting tricks from similar roles of AB senior.
The revelation however were Deepika and Rana, the former for her revealing item number and disapperance thereafter. The latter for pulling off his role with a so-so physique alongside the gorgeous Bipasa. He capitalized well on the significance of his role with not-so-bad acting, would like to see him in more Hindi movies.

Currently just hooked on to the "Te Amo" song, love it!
